Geolocated mobile time clock: ending clock-in fraud on sites and on the road

Why fixed badge readers are no longer enough for mobile teams, and how a secure smartphone time clock makes payroll reliable.

Geolocated mobile time clock: ending clock-in fraud on sites and on the road

Security guards, travelling technicians, construction crews, delivery drivers: in Morocco a growing share of the workforce works outside company walls. For these teams the wall badge reader is useless and the paper attendance sheet a source of errors and disputes.

The hidden cost of declared hours

Rounded hours, buddy punching, undetected late arrivals: gaps between declared and actual hours commonly represent 5 to 10% of field payroll. For 200 employees the stake runs into millions of dirhams per year.

How a secure mobile time clock works

The employee clocks in from a smartphone; the app checks the GPS position against the job site (geofencing), time-stamps the event server-side and can require a photo or fingerprint. Clocking works offline and syncs when the connection returns.

From tracking to steering

Beyond control, Logitime gives managers a real-time view of attendance per site, overtime and absences, and exports directly to payroll (Sage, SAP, Odoo). Administrative consolidation time halves.

Compliance and acceptance

The system must be transparent: informing employees, collecting only during working hours, controlled data retention. Well deployed, it is seen as protection by the teams themselves, who hold proof of their hours. OMNIYAT has supported such rollouts for over ten years with Moroccan companies of all sizes.
